Clan Policy

To join Genesis Gaming you must have a working microphone, currently living in Australia & be 25+. We are after providing a mature, friendly environment for all members, nasty, stupid or childish behaviour will not be tolerated. Any major disputes will be resolved by one of our Admin. It’s not a perfect world & as everyone knows people get annoyed from time to time but if someone is causing a problem just have your say but be nice & get the hell over it or talk to an Admin. Here at Genesis we are more interested in quality of members, not quantity.

Racism

Racism will not be tolerated in Genesis AT ALL. As this is a banable offence in the servers, it also carries the same punishment for Ventrilo. If you are found to be breaking the “NO RACISM” policy you will be immediately & without warning banned from Ventrilo & the server for that night, we will need to chat to you before the ban is lifted. Do it again & you WILL BE BANNED immediately & permanently from the clan. This goes for ALL members including staff/admin. I believe this to be a no-brainer.

Swearing

Swearing in the game servers is NOT allowed; this creates player abuse & will not be tolerated by or from ANY member. The *F* or “C” Bomb is a banable offence in the servers & Ventrilo, If you drop the “C” bomb in Ventrilo you will be immediately & without warning banned from Ventrilo & the server for that night, we will need to chat to you before the ban is lifted. Do it again & you WILL BE BANNED immediately & permanently from the clan. This goes for ALL members including staff/admin. I believe this also to be a no-brainer.

Application To Join

Signing up to the Genesis forums does not make you a clan member. You will need to fill out the application form, you can find the link on our home page, read and agree to our rules & have Ventrilo installed. Remember, by submitting an application you understand & agree to all the rules set by Genesis Gaming.

Once your application has been approved, Do not put your tags on. There is a 2-4 week induction before we consider giving your tags so we can get to know each other.

Administration

Respect all Admin & Staff. These people are not here to take crap from anyone but will resolve any disputes & problems you have, even if YOU are the problem. Admin do a lot behind the scenes so you don’t have to & deserve our respect. They can also help with Ventrilo set-up or guide you through the forums. You can find out who's who on the home page in our members list.

Multi Claning

Multi Claning is NOT allowed. As a Genesis member you must not be a full member of any other on-line PC gaming clan that expect you to wear their tags. This will result in an immediate ban. It is compulsory as a full member to have your =Gen= tags on at all times while in game.

Forums

The forums are not only integral part of the clan but also a valuable source of information with a large knowledge base. It's your lifeline to the clan. It takes 1-5 minutes if you check them daily or could be 1/2 hr or more in a week. But if you miss important information you can't say you weren't told. At the very least, try to check PM's on a daily basis. Post a reply now & then or maybe a Joke or it doesn't seem much point being in the clan. No foul language is allowed except the "Funnies" forum. Just warn ppl as you post it.

Ventrilo

Ventrilo is our VoiP (voice over internet protocol) program & is a compulsory part of our clan. We urge everyone to be on Vent when in game or just surf’n the web. You can find Ventrilo in our Download section. Download & install the 3.0.1 client version then enter the details below to logon. You can find all details to get vent operating.

Your name. Preferably your online gaming ID for the game you play the most. This helps ppl recognize you in game. It doesn’t have to be exact just close enough. Your Phonetic name is as you want people to hear it when you join the server or channel. Please use the play button on the RHS of the box to hear how it sounds. Also a good quality microphone will be needed.

Any problems with logging onto vent just post a new topic in the forums telling us the exact problem you are having & someone will reply.

Rules for Ventrilo are simple. BE NICE. Respect ALL members at all times. Swearing is not preferred but permitted to a small degree. Definitely NO “C” bombs are allowed & will get you kicked/banned from the server.

Tags -=Gen=-/ [GEN]

Genesis Tags must NOT be worn until you have completed probation of 2-4 weeks. This is just an induction stage to let us get to know you & vice-versa. After the induction is complete we will only allow you TAGs once we have received your first donation. We may do a background check for any bans to do with hacking, glitching, or stats padding, we do NOT want cheats in our clan & if any are found will result in a permanent ban. The Tags currently have two versions, -=Gen=- is our CoD4 tag, GEN is our CoD5 Tag, the brackets “[ ]” are automatic when you type it in.
